Meta Fires Leakers: Confidential Info Exposed!
Looks like someone wasn't keeping secrets! Meta, the parent company of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, just gave about 20 employees the boot for leaking confidential information. Ouch! ?
According to The Verge, Meta isn't playing around when it comes to keeping its internal happenings under wraps. They stated, and I quote, "We tell employees when they join the company... that it is against our policies to leak internal information, no matter the intent." Seems pretty straightforward, right?
Apparently, a bunch of juicy details about Meta's internal meetings and unreleased product plans have been making their way into the news lately. This includes details from a recent all-hands meeting led by none other than Mark Zuckerberg himself! You know things are serious when Zuck is involved.
So, Meta did what any self-respecting tech giant would do: they investigated. And the result? "Roughly 20 employees" got the axe. And it sounds like Meta isn't done yet! They warned that "we expect there will be more" firings if the leaks continue. Consider that a final warning, folks!
Even Meta's CTO, Andrew Bosworth (aka "Boz"), got in on the action, warning employees (in comments that were, ironically, also leaked) that they were close to catching the leakers. Talk about irony! ?
The message is clear: Meta is serious about protecting its secrets. So if you're thinking about spilling the beans, think again! Your job (and maybe your reputation) might depend on it!
