Intel's New Boss: Shake-Up Incoming?
So, Intel's got a new sheriff in town! Lip-Bu Tan is stepping into the CEO role, and it sounds like he's not planning on just keeping things as they are. According to reports, he's already talking about making some pretty big changes to get the company back on its feet.
We're talking potential cuts to middle management and a possible rethink of how Intel manufactures its chips. Tan apparently told employees that some "tough decisions" are on the horizon. Sounds like he's not afraid to make some waves!
He's not exactly a stranger to Intel, though. Tan was actually on Intel's board until recently (August 2024), when he left due to some disagreements with the previous CEO. Now he's back in charge, which is a pretty interesting turn of events.
Intel hasn't officially commented on all of this yet, but it definitely sounds like things are about to get interesting over there. Will Tan's changes be enough to turn the company around? Only time will tell!
