Figma has unveiled a suite of AI-powered tools designed to streamline the creation of websites, web applications, and marketing assets. These new features significantly expand Figma's capabilities, positioning it as a comprehensive platform for designers and marketers alike.

Figma Sites and Make: AI-Driven Web Design and Prototyping

Figma Sites allows users to generate and publish fully functional websites directly from Figma prototypes. This eliminates the need for separate website builders, simplifying the workflow considerably. The intuitive editor enables effortless modification of site elements, including the addition of transitions, animations, and scroll effects. Furthermore, an upcoming CMS integration will allow for seamless blog post creation and management within the platform itself. For added interactivity, users can incorporate custom code or leverage AI code generation. Complementing Sites, Figma Make focuses on rapid prototyping and ideation of web applications. Users input prompts to generate interactive prototypes, which can then be collaboratively refined and adapted.

Enhanced Marketing and Design Tools

Figma Buzz empowers marketers to efficiently produce branded marketing materials using designer-created templates. The tool facilitates bulk asset creation from data sources like spreadsheets, and includes AI-image generation and background alteration capabilities. Meanwhile, Figma Draw, a new vector editing tool, enhances Figma's design capabilities with features like text on a path, pattern fill, and advanced selection tools, eliminating the need for external vector editing software.

These additions, coupled with the existing Figma Slides presentation tool, allow Figma to compete more directly with established creative suites such as Adobe Creative Cloud and Canva. The introduction of a new “content seat” subscription plan at $8 per month, providing access to Figma Buzz, Slides, FigJam, and Sites CMS, makes these powerful tools accessible to a wider range of users.
