Adding calendar events with a screenshot is AI at its finest
Okay, so Apple's AI hasn't exactly blown us away so far, right? But I gotta say, there's this new feature coming in iOS 26 that’s genuinely useful: turning screenshots into calendar events. I've been playing around with it in the beta, and it actually works! It's easily my favorite Apple Intelligence feature so far, even if the bar was set pretty low.
Look, I know adding stuff to your calendar from a screenshot might not sound like the most exciting thing in the world. But think about it: you're at a restaurant, snap a pic of a flyer for a concert, and BAM! iOS lets you create an event directly from that image. No more manually typing in dates, times, and locations. It's a small thing, but it's one of those things that makes you think: "Okay, that's how AI should be used."
While I'm not going to say it's perfect (Android's version might be a little more advanced), it's a step in the right direction. It finally feels like Apple is using AI to actually save me time, and that's a welcome change.
